Can Puff be used in a evaporative cooler (swamp cooler)? It has a honey comb element like a wick.
Thanks
I put 4 bottles of this stuff in our 10-gallon evaporative cooler. We used double the recommended amount because we run the cooler all day, all summer, never shuttying it off. We did not have to clean the cooler all summer. Worked! This stuff is great.
The product worked as advertised. I would have given it 5 stars, but the product spilled and stained our carpet. We could not get the green dye out. Why is it colored? Is this coloring artificial food coloring?
Puff washes out with water and baking soda! We are happy that Puff worked for you. Sorry to read that it stained your carpet. The green color is from chlorophyll, from leaves. It is actually required for Puff to work.
The product covered my room in a white powder and clogged my humidifier. I also could not return it.
It sounds like you used the Puff in an ultrasonic humidifier. Sometimes ultrasonic humidifiers are called cool mist humidifiers. Please do not use Puff in ultrasonic or cool mist humidifiers. We apologize if we did not make this clear. Puff was made for evaporative humidifiers only. If you own an ultrasonic or cool mist humidifier, you should not add anything to the water tank. Anything you add to the water will be vaporized into the air and get directly into your lungs. We recommend cleaning your ultrasonic or cool mist humidifier once or twice a week.
We use this product in our 5 L evaporative humidifier in our child's room that we only turn on at night. Without adding anything, the water starts to smell after about a month. The unit has to be taken apart and cleaned. Added 1/2 bottle, 3 months ago. The product is working.
